The John Wayne Airport likes to highlight various artists and one of the exhibits they are currently showing features the photographs of artist, Rob Gage. Gage began an interest in photography at 15 years of age and has been working in the industry ever since. He has been an advertising photographer for over four decades and has traveled the world for his clients. He has photographed a number of subjects but over the past several years his focus has been on ballet. Gage has worked on the Ballerina Project for four years.
Ballerina Project features photographs of flawless dancers in the most unlikely of places. Far from the traditional stage you’ll see the beauties on a barge in Newport Beach, against a concrete wall in a parking garage and in a grove of trees.
The exhibit, Ballerina Project, will be on display until July 14, 2014 in the Thomas F. Riley Terminal on the upper level near the screening areas in Terminals A, B and C as well as on the lower level adjacent to Baggage Carousels 1 and 4.
If you’ll be at the airport between now and July 14, you won’t want to miss seeing this exhibition.
