John Wayne Airport – Exploring Orange County’s Story
Orange County is 125 years old and to celebrate the Orange County Airport has a special exhibition titled, OC125: Exploring Orange County’s Story. Now through February 2015, airport visitors can view the display in the pedestrian walkway connecting Terminals B and C (pre-security).
The display highlights over 35 historical sites located in Orange County that are still viewable today. The exhibition hopes to bring to life the story of some of the people, places and events that have helped to make Orange County what it is today.
A companion guide is available at the Riley Terminal as well as on the official John Wayne Airport website here: http://www.ocair.com/terminal/artexhibits/. The companion guide provides information about the sites in the exhibit as well as websites and helpful information about guided and self-guided tours of the sites around Orange County, many of which are still open to the public.
